Hands-on Workshop on Cyber Security at SPSU

A three-day workshop on "Cyber Security" was successfully organized by the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) at Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, from January 16 to 18, 2025. The event aimed to enhance awareness about cybersecurity threats, equip participants with practical skills, and discuss the latest developments in the field.

The workshop featured Mr. Madhav Ajwalia, a renowned cybersecurity expert, who provided hands-on training using advanced tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Sqlmap, John the Ripper, and W3af. These sessions offered participants practical exposure to real-world cybersecurity challenges, fostering a deeper understanding of threat detection and mitigation techniques.

The workshop saw enthusiastic participation, with over 90 students from various programs registering for the event. Attendees actively engaged in hands-on activities, including simulated cyberattack scenarios, which enhanced their practical skills and problem-solving abilities.

President Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav encouraged all faculty members and students of FCI to organize and participate in such hands-on workshops to promote learning through practice. Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kumar Goel, Dean, FCI, Prof. (Dr.) P. Chakrabarti, Dean Research, Dr. C. Goswami, Deputy Dean FCI, and P. Saini, the workshop coordinator, commended the participants and the organizing team.

This workshop served as a platform for knowledge exchange and skill development, reinforcing the university's commitment to producing competent professionals in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.
